If you, as an owner, cancel a confirmed booking, the following applies according to MyCamper's terms and conditions:

Consequences of Owner Cancellation

  1. The Renter Gets a Full Refund

    • The renter will be fully refunded for all payments made, and any remaining payments will be canceled.
  2. Cancellation Penalty for the Owner

    • You will be charged a penalty fee equal to the service fee of the booking.
    • This penalty does not apply if:
      • The cancellation is due to the vehicle being damaged or becoming non-rentable during a previous rental.
      • The cancellation is due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, severe illness, etc.).
    • You must provide proof for the above exceptions, and MyCamper will review the case.
  3. Impact on Your Profile & Future Bookings

    • Frequent cancellations can negatively affect your profile and reduce trust among potential renters.
    • If you cancel multiple bookings, your vehicle listing may be deactivated.

What to Do If You Need to Cancel?

If you must cancel, contact the renter as soon as possible and explain the situation. Also, inform MyCamper support for assistance in handling the case properly.
